Summary: The US/China Energy and Environmental Technology Center (EETC) is funded by the US Dept. of Energy and China's Ministry of Science and Technology. It was established at Tulane University and Tsinghua University in 1997 and has branch offices at the China Coal Research Center and Shanghai. EETC has developed a broad based bi-national team of industry, government, and academic professionals focused on commercializing energy and environmental technologies & services in China. Currently, we are working on clean coal technologies such as (a) coal gasification and liquefaction (b) improving the performance of industrial boilers (c) coal mine methane utilization (d) energy/steam efficiency optimization (e) CO2 capture (f) sequestrations.
